The DIN 11852 - EN 10374 standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances, materials, surface characteristics and markings for the bends, reducers or welding gradients and tees. In this standard, these are the welding fittings that are prescribed in the food and chemical industries.

Specifications
The pre-material of the fittings can be produced of unannealed tube (CC) but also of annealed tube (BC). According to the standard, the bends, reducers and tees may be produced according to the work material numbers: 1.4301 / 1.4307 304(L) and 1.4404 / 1.4432 316L. The allowable pressure and tolerances depend on the size and can be found in the standard for each product group. According to the standard, the fittings must satisfy at least an internal roughness of Ra ≤0.8 µm and an Ra ≤1.6 µm on the weld seam. The specified roughness values may increase by a factor of 2 in the deformation area.
