AISI 6150, DIN 1.8159 51CrV4 Spring Steel rods
51CrV4 /DIN 1.8159 is a Medium carbon alloy spring steel as per European Standard EN10083.It has good mechanical properties and process properties with high hardenability. In addition, the addition of vanadium element refines the grains, reduces the overheating sensitivity, improves the strength and toughness.
51CrV4 steel has high fatigue strength and high yield ratio. When the operating temperature is 300ºC, its elasticity can still be maintained. The cutting performance is still good, but the plasticity is low during cold deformation, and the weldability is poor.
