20MnV6 hot finished Carbon Hollow Bar
This is a carbon-manganese rich steel, micro alloyed with vanadium. It is often supplied in the black hot rolled condition. Carbon Hollow Bar is used throughout industry sectors because of its outstanding machining properties, which reduce machining times. The silicon-calcium treatment and precise control of the sulphur content means that it has excellent weldability with high yield and tensile strengths due to the microalloying effect of the vanadium. The low carbon content and presence of vanadium enables surface hardening by carburising, carbonitriding or nitriding. Carbon Hollow Bar can be used in a wide range of applications such as: axles, bushes, cylinders, conveyor rolls, drill jigs, hollow parts and components, lock nuts, shafts, spindles, stuffing boxes, nuts, and rings.
