Chromium-Molybdenum Steel 42CrMo4 is suitable for oxygen cylinder and bottles with excellent corrosion resistance, high wear resistance and good strength properties. Steel pipe 42CrMo4 +QT is used for oxygen gas bottle or tank, bearing retaining parts. It's also used in vehicle, vessel manufacturing, machine engineering (e.g. crankshafts, pinions, balancer shafts). The steel shows high resistivity to static and dynamic loading. Lowest working temperature -20 °C.

The42CrMo4 steel has good machinability, high permeability, good toughness, easy to polish, even little deformation during quenching and high creep strength and endurance at high temperatures. 42CrMo4 +QT steel pipes are generally intended for the manufacture of quenched and tempered, flame or induction hardened machine parts, but alternatively may be supplied in the normalized condition.
