Alloy 825, also known as Incoloy 825, is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with molybdenum and copper added. Alloy 825 has excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, to stress-corrosion cracking and to pitting and crevice corrosion. Alloy 825 is especially resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids.
Applications
The high nickel content of Alloy 825 makes it virtually immune to stress corrosion cracking. Applications in the Oil & Gas market include pipes, tubes and fittings for oil and gas extraction in heat exchangers, evaporators, washers, immersion pipes and offshore piping.
