ASME B16.11 Stainless Steel 3000 lb F-NPT Full Coupling 

The coupling is a common fitting used in the connection of industrial pipelines. The common ones are threaded couplings, which are divided into both end threaded outer, single end threaded external, and half threaded. In addition, there are short couplings connected by flanges.

The couplings are divided into tubing coupling and casing one. In the connection of pipe fittings, the flange coupling is generally used in conjunction with the flange. Specifically, it is set in the inner space of the flange, and then the tail is welded to the steel pipe.so that the flange can be moved.
The pipe nipple is a short section of pipe. Compared with the nipple, it is only different in length, and the others are the same. The lengths are: 0.25m, 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m, etc., which are used to assemble the down string.

This threaded NPT coupling is typically what you'd have welded into your vessel as the bulkhead drain or to add any flexible ports. The full coupling gives you female threads on both ends allowing for male NPT threaded fittings of the same size to thread into both ends.
