API 5L GR.B PE Coated Carbon Steel Pipe

PE Coated Steel Pipe is a group of pipes that are coated with polyethylene over the metallic component. There are different types of PE Coated Carbon Steel Pipe products in use. Basic 3 types of coatings are used. The LDPE, the LDPE super seal and the HDPE are the three types. These differ due to the form of polyethylene used in the coating. The low density PE, the high density PE and the super sealing methods are the differences. The PE Coated Stainless Steel Pipe is beneficial in many ways. It avoids contact of the pipe's carbon steel with the environment. This avoids oxidation and corrosion of the pipe. Since the coating is less expensive than an entire anticorrosive alloy made pipe, the coated pipes are cost effective. The PE Lined Steel Pipe can therefore be used in low cost applications as well. The lining acts as insulations under some conditions.
