Duplex 2205 UNS 32205 Butt Weld Fitting Elbow

S32205 Duplex Pipe Fittings has excellent oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. Because of its characteristically work hardening and high strength, this particular grade is hard to form. ASTM A815 WPS S32205 has good low temperature toughness. ASTM A815 UNS S32205 has a maximum hot forming temperature between 2010°F and 2100°F (1100°C to 1150°C).

Super duplex stainless steel are alloyed with chromium, nickel and molybdenum. These three metals impart good mechanical properties to the UNS S32205 Fittings. Molybdenum aids in making the alloy tougher, while increasing its resistance to crevice corrosion and cracking caused by stress corrosion, mostly in sulphur and chlorine containing environments. Molybdenum toughens the ASTM A815 S32205 alloy, as addition of chromium in a large quantity could lead to the fitting becoming brittle at very high temperatures. These S32205 Duplex Fittings and forged are available in different types like seamless, fabricated and welded types. The size of these products ranges from 1/2 NB to 48 NB and dimensions include ANSI/ ASME standard as well.

The UNS S32205 grade of Pipe Fittings is commonly used in the sulfite paper industry due to its ability to combat corrosion issues caused by chloride. In addition, the UNS S32205 Pipe Fittings helps to transfer cooling waters and other aggressive chemical products. The ASTM A815 WP S32205 Fittings can be welded well into thick plates and have a wide range of applications in places where good corrosion resistance and strength are required.
