1.ASME SA213 t23
(1)ASME SA213 t23: "SA" is a mark of ASME steel material. "213" refers to the specification sequence number, "T23" refers to the steel grade classification, "T" refers to small diameter steel tube, equivalent to 07cr2mow2vnbb small diameter steel tube in China.
 
SA213 T23 steel is based on the chemical composition of 2.25Cr-1Mo (SA213 T22) steel, adding w (about 1.6%), reducing mo (about 0.30%), and adding a small amount of V, Nb, Ni, B and other components. The allowable stress of T23 Steel is twice that of T22 steel, and the endurance strength at 580 ºC is 1.4 times that of 12Cr1MoV steel. SA213 T23 steel has the same endurance strength as 12Cr2MoWVTiB (G102) steel, and has high impact toughness and good weldability.
 
 
(2)Allowable operating temperature:

ASME SA213 T23 Seamless Steel Tubes are mainly suitable for manufacturing superheater, reheater and water wall of large-scale utility boiler, and 
SA213 T23 Seamless Steel Tubes are better choice material for the main steam temperature below 620 ºC.

6.SA213 T23 Steel metallographic structure

7.Properties of SA213 T23 steel tubes welded joint
(1)The welding method of sa213t23 steel tubes are hot wire automatic TIG welding, and the welding material is t-hcm2s with a diameter of 1mm
 
(2)It is not easy to preheat the small and medium diameter steel pipe before welding, so post welding heat treatment should be carried out in the actual production. Considering the safety and stability of the welded joint, the welded joint of SA213 T23 steel tubes should also be subject to post weld heat treatment.
 

 
(3)Welding of dissimilar steel:
A) with T22, welding materials, preheating / layer and post weld heat treatment shall be in accordance with T22;
B) with T91, the welding material shall be T23, preheating / layer temperature (200-350 ºC) and post weld heat treatment (730-800 ºC);
C) with TP347H, ernicr-3, preheating / layer temperature (not required) and post weld heat treatment (as per T23) are used for welding materials;
D) with TP304H, ernicr-3, preheating / layer temperature (not required) and post weld heat treatment (as per T23) are used for welding materials;
 

 
8.Bend for SA213 T23 Steel Tubes
(1)For T23: the bending deformation property of the steel is close to that of T22, which is suitable for various bending processes. When the hardness after cold and hot bending is only slightly increased (hv170-190), post bending heat treatment is not used; however, if the cold working rate is higher than 15%, the permanent strength of the bending part will decrease, so it is recommended to adopt stress relief heat treatment, which is the same as post welding heat treatment; if the heating temperature of flat bending is higher than AC3, and the hardness rises to hv300-310, at least post bending stress relief heat treatment shall be carried out, and normalizing is recommended +Tempering (1050 ºC / 1H, air cooling + 770 ºC / 1H, air cooling).
 
(2)P23: high frequency heating is adopted for hot bending, which is conducted between 950-1050 ºC; quick cooling is recommended after bending. After bending, the heat treatment of normalizing + tempering is the same as P91. After normalizing, rapid cooling is recommended to ensure better toughness.
