1.3343/HS6-5-2C is the most utilized high-speed steel in the marketplace. It is characterized by high hot wear resistance and has good toughness even in the hardened state. The 1.3343/HS6-5-2C was originally developed for cutting tools such as turning tools, drills, milling cutters and broaches. However, nowadays it is also widely used for cold work such as punches, thread rolling dies and rolls, and knives.
