The EN 1092-1 type 35 is made up of austenitic stainless steel or Duplex stainless steel. It is applied in the oil, offshore, water, ship building, natural gas and power generation industries. The shape of the fitting looks like a ring. So it is also known as a welding ring. With the raised rims it also looks like a collar. Some practitioners better know it as a weld neck collar.
