St52 Carbon Steel Round Bar

A hollow bar is always round and can look like a pipe or a tube, however, typically the walls are much thicker. A hollow bar has the strength of a solid round bar, but since there is no center, there is less weight per foot which can sometimes save money, without compromising strength.
ST52 Hollow Bar or seamless mechanical tube as it is known, is a mechanical seamless hollow bar in heavy wall sections. The product has good machinability and weld ability. It is used extensively by all industry sectors for a wide range of applications utilizing its considerable saving on machining time and weight over solid bar. Typical applications are: Bushes, Cylinders Various, Conveyor Rolls, Hollow Shafts, Hollow Parts and components, Nuts, Rings, etc.

According to the application, hollow bar can be divided into three categories: deep hole rock drilling connecting drill rods, shallow hole rock drilling drill rods and special purpose drill rods.

Hollow bar standard sizes range from outside diameter 32 to 273 mm (1.26 to 10.75 in.).
For sizes above 65 O.D the ordered. O.D and I.D will clean up to a length of 200mm.
