A193 B7 material is a standard material specification for chromium-molybdenum alloy steel fasteners for use in high tensile, high temperature and special purpose applications.The material is widely used for fasteners specifications and which is commonly found in bolting, piping, valves, fitting, flanges and pressure vessels.The SA 193 gr b7 is fabricated from medium carbon alloy steel that go through a heat treating process in order to develop its strength. ASTM A193 Grade B7 Bolts is considered for applications up to 450°C due to the heat treated chromium molybdenum steel. B7 hex bolts are bolts with external threading and a hex head designed to be driven by a wrench. It can be fully or partially threaded, and are available in hex cap. ASTM A193 gr B7 bolts has a minimum tensile strength of 100 ksi, yield strength of 75 ksi and maximum hardness of 35 HRC.
