ASME B16.5 Class 150-2500 DN1500 Duplex Steel Swivel Flange

Swivel Flange is a spitted flange which consist of a forged outer ring, a heavy forged welding hub and a gasket, the hub can be rotated when the flange is installed.

Therefore, swivel flange is also named swivel ring flange. The flange assembly provides easy alignment of the bolt holes during makeup to a WN flange or other flange.

The outer ring flange assembly is held in position by a retainer ring that freely rotates around the inner weld-neck hub for quickly positioning the bolt holes of the two joining
flanges. These versatile flanges are utilized in many applications and are used extensively in offshore piping where they solve the issues associated with the alignment of bolt holes during subsea flange installation.

The Swivel Flanges permits 360° rotation of an outer ring around a hub, to allow easy alignment of bolt holes when attaching to a mating standard flange. For subsea applications, this capability is important when only a single diver is available to align and make up the flange connection.
