ASME B16.9 A234 Wpb Eccentric Reducer of Carbon Butt Weld Fitting

Butt weld pipe fittings comprise of long radius elbow, concentric reducer, eccentric reducers and Tees. They are an important part of industrial piping systems to change direction, branch off or to mechanically join equipment to the system. Butt weld fittings are sold in nominal pipe sizes with specified pipe schedule. BW fitting's dimensions and tolerances are defined as per ASME standard B16.9.

ASTM A234 is the standard of pipe fittings material ,it indicates the materials properties of different kinds of carbon steel and alloy steel, WPB is one of the steel grade in this standard. W means welding, P means pressure, B is grade b, refer to the minimum yield strength, like the A106,A53,Gr.B or API 5LGr.B. A234 WPB is the most common carbon steel pipe fittings material.

Long Radius 90° Elbows make a 90 degree change of direction in the run of the pipe. The radius of the bend in this elbow is "long radius", or in other words, greater than that of the nominal size.
